Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 25th November 2008 at The Royal Oak, Alton.

3. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: These were read, agreed & signed as accurate.

Dave said that the grant application result would be sent to the Parish Council direct.

John has paid the agreed donation of £500 from Alton Regeneration Group towards funding planting of bulbs on verges.Gillian to follow up at the next Best Kept Village meeting

Linda said that Gary Morris was in the process of seeking funding for the young football teams who use the playing field.Linda will liase with Caroline & Gary to see what we can do to further the improvements that can be achieved.
WEBSITE
All payments have been made regarding name transfers etc. Many of the businesses advertising on the website have now donated to the upkeep of the website,a special thanks to Heywood Hall for their generous donation ,however some still haven’t paid which is disappointing, John will endeavour to remind them.
Neil is currently updating certain areas of the site & will put the links in place to contributor's own sites where he can.
He is also producing 2009 calendars which are available for sale at Barry’s Newsagents & at Gillian’s Tile shop as well as online.
It is now possible to get to the site using Alton-staffordshire.co.uk as well as alton-staffs.co.uk.
NOTICEBOARD
This has now been re-sited outside Alton Tiles on the High Street, thanks to Gillian for her wall & John who with some help from her son has eventually moved it.
It is now in use.
FINANCIAL REPORT
The account has £2363.75 at present. After paying the £500 to the Parish Council to help with planting up the areas of the village in most need.

John has spoken to Stella Heritage having been unable to contact Henry Parker regarding Transport for the OAP’s to different venues. Dave has got Stella’s phone number & is sure that some help can be found to alleviate some of the cost.He will contact her directly.John will get Henry’s number to him as well.
Gabby gave apologies for future meetings due to other commitments.
