ALTON REGENERATION GROUP (SRB)

Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 20th May 2008 at The Royal Oak, Alton.


1.   PRESENT:  Gillian Morrison, David Scrivens, Linda Goodwin, John Moorhouse, Pat Riesco, Sally Khadjenouri

2.   APOLOGIES:  No apologies were received

3.   MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING:  These were read and agreed

4.   MATTERS ARISING: 
 
PUMP AREA AND NEW ROAD GARDEN.
Dave met Arthur, completed grant forms and took photos of area. Arthur had a form which has been given to the Parish Clerk with updated accounts. Another form has been signed by Michael Last, who is acting as a referee. Both forms are now with Liz and need to be sent to Dave so that he can send in the application. Dave to contact Liz.

PARISH COUNCIL
Dave and two other members attended the PC meeting. John had offered a donation of £500 from Alton Regeneration Group towards funding planting of bulbs on verges. Edwin Brindley will contact John.   
     
YOUTH PROJECT)
SPORTS FIELD   )To be included in the village appraisal
ALLOTMENTS     )
     
PLANNING FOR REAL – To take place at Church fetes. St Peter’s – Sat 7th June, St. John’s – 14th June
Questions have now been printed, bell ringers marquee to be used.
Dave and Alan to organise and a few other members will help on the day of the fetes. Dave will organise staff from SMDC.

WEBSITE
Transfer of name from Mark Smallwood to Alton Regeneration Group but Mark sent and paid bill of £117.50. Cheque to be sent to Mark. Letters need to be sent to all contributors to remind them to forward donation.



FINANCIAL REPORT
The account has £2940 at present. £500 to be sent to PC when requested, £117.50 to Mark Smallwood.
NOTICEBOARD
The noticeboard outside the chapel to be re-sited to wall outside Gill’s shop. She does not want posters in the windows. John to move it and talk to Claire Head about noticeboard at their farm on JCB estate.

BEST KEPT VILLAGE
Gill stated that there was to be a hanging basket and tub competition. 1st prize £100, 2nd prize £50, 3rd prize £30 judges to be representatives from each group.
