ALTON REGENERATION GROUP (SRB)
Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 15th April 2008 at The Royal Oak, Alton.
1. PRESENT: Gillian Morrison, Gabby Lees, David Scrivens, Linda Goodwin, John Moorhouse, Alan Heath, Pat Riesco

4. MATTERS ARISING:
PUMP AREA AND NEW ROAD GARDEN.
Dave meeting Arthur Forrester on 16th April to complete grant forms, Arthur has two quotes. Dave also to attend May Parish Council meeting.
PARISH COUNCIL – Gill reported that derogatory comments were made by some of the Parish Councillors at the BKV meeting about SRB and the village agent promising regards funding for the PC. Gill had defended the group.The councillors have been told on several occasions they have to put forward proposals before grants can be applied for. Arthur Forrester was contacted two years ago to obtain quotes for the pump area and only now are two quotes being considered and a meeting arranged to discuss the grant application.
As a goodwill gesture John proposed the group donate £500 towards the cost of bulbs etc for planting on the verges of Lime Kiln Road and New Road by either,the Parish Council, or by our group if it was too much extra work for the lengthsman.
This was seconded by Alan Heath and the committee agreed.
Several members will attend next month’s PC meeting -12th May to support Dave & to put forward this proposal

PLANNING FOR REAL – To take place at Church fetes. St Peter’s – Sat 7th June, St. John’s – 28th June? (14th June)
Dave guided us through a completed consultation exercise and we compiled a list of questions concerning the village. This will be finalised at the May meeting.
