1. PRESENT: John Moorhouse (Treasurer), Alan Heath (Chair) Dave Scrivens, Gillian Morrison and Angie Hurst (minutes),
2. APOLOGIES: None
3. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: John reported that the secretary had missed an important point during the meeting 10th October. He wished it to be minuted that he was not happy that a member of the group had made a decision not to send a letter agreed by the group without discussion with the other members of SRB. This should not happen in the future.
4. MATTERS ARISING: Only the above comments.
5. WEBSITE: John agreed to speak to Mark and see if he is happy to carry on with the website management. It was decided that we need to decide as a group what we needed regarding the website. John agreed to talk to Paul Denning about putting the parish magazine on and Angie would talk to Dr Mike Brown about putting the Alton Surgery leaflet on. John would put information about the Carols at the Roundhouse on the website, and maybe a few pictures from last year.
6. PLAYSCHOOL FUNDING: Dave reported that this was in hand. Forms had been sent to Mim and he was waiting for their return. Stafford has already fixed a Paediatric First aid course for playschool free of charge.Dave thought there would be no problem getting the money for these projects.
7. RECRUITMENT POSTERS: Alan to deliver them
8. PUMP AREA AND NEW ROAD GARDEN: This is in hand. Alan has the forms and is dealing with the new quote. We also need updated costing for the plans, this is also in hand. Alan will give Dave the disc for the forms.
9. HERITAGE CENTRE: The Heritage lottery fund has been contacted by Alan, and he has requested a meeting with Father Phillip.
10. PLANNING FOR REAL: It was agreed we would support this as a group, but Dave would need to get other groups on board.
11. TENNIS COURTS: Alan agreed to get a copy of the quote from Ellastone for their tennis court. Angie agreed to see if she could find anyone in the village interested in running the project for a Tennis court.
12. ANY OTHER BUSINESS: John attended the Parish Council meeting early November. Councillor Cope stated that no one from any group had asked the lengths man to do any other work, i.e. extra areas of the village. John refuted that statement,he stated that Gill had asked several times for work to be done on several areas of the village including the intrances and none had been done to date. Councillor Forrester said at the PC meeting that these areas were instrumental in improving the appearance for the best kept village and should be included in the lengths mans area of responsibility. John Gill and Andrew will be doing work on the entrance on Sunday 26th November at about 2pm, any help would be appreciated.
