ON TUESDAY 27TH JUNE 2006

1.   PRESENT:   Angie Hurst, Gillian Morrison, John Moorhouse, Alan Heath,
                         and Dave Scrivens.

2. APOLOGIES: Claire Head and Linda Goodwin.

3. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING:  Were read and agreed.

4. PUBLICITY POSTER:  Alan has taken the information for the posters. Claire will take the faded out maps to Alan on Wednesday 28th June. John will e-mail the master to Alan and he will deal with the posters. It was agreed to sell maps and calendars at the fete for £3 each. 50p of this will be donated to St John’s church and 50p to St Peter’s. Dave has the boards for the fete. Angie will go to the fete at 12pm and set up the gazebo after John has erected it.  Angie will man the stall and hand out some web site info and take names and addresses of people interested in helping the group.

5. PLAYGROUND: Angie will chase Lapsett about the play area. The grass around the matting is looking much better, when tidied up it will be enough if Lapsett sort out the matting.

6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS: Dave Scrivens has had a complaint from the W.I. that they know little about SRB/ARRG. It was pointed out that there has been lots of publicity around the village, on the notice board attached to the chapel in the High Street and on the window of Gillian’s shop. Also there is the website. As many groups as possible were informed about the AGM also posters were put on lamp posts. The New Road garden and the pump area are to be costed (with the help of the best kept village committee)and an application will be put in for funding.
Jonathan has agreed to strim the gateway area and it would be passed on for the lengths man to mow.

Our new local police community officer in an effort to reduce crime is prepared to meet with a designated villager on a regular basis. John Moorhouse has offered to take this job on for the community. If anyone has any problems in the village please contact John and he will liaise with the new officer.
