ALTON PRIMARY CARE CENTRE
  Newsletter No 4 — April 2006

News from Prima 200
The project is currently running behind schedule, mostly due to inclement weather which caused delays to the brickwork.  In addition, some of you may already be aware that the groundwork contractor ceased to trade and this means that AMEC (the main building contractor) had to spend time identifying an alternative contractor.
We will let you know the proposed opening date after Easter.
News from the PCT
Compared to other schemes Alton is relatively small.  However, it is getting a large scale investment in Information Technology.
The PCT is acquiring some sophisticated equipment that will allow the Waterhouses and Alton surgeries to link up.  It will also allow other health care workers such as the district nurses to add information to patients’ records (but please note that they will not be able to read any other part of the confidential record).
Contact Numbers
If you are experiencing problems with the site please call 07654 380918 (please note, this number connects you to a paging system).

For general enquiries call the Prima 200 office on (01782) 657278.
Prima 200 is the company that will own and manage your new building on behalf of Staffordshire Moorlands Primary Care Trust (PCT).
