ALTON RURAL REGENERATION GROUP
MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD AT THE ROYAL OAK, ALTON
ON TUESDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2006.
1. PRESENT: Angie Hurst, Gillian Morrison, John Moorhouse, Alan Heath,
Claire Head and Dave Scrivens.
2. APOLOGIES: Linda Goodwin and Tony Stimson.
3. MINUTES OF THE LAST MEETING: Were read and agreed.
4. MATTERS ARISING: There were none.
5. PLAYGROUND UPDATE: Alan has been in touch with Lappset regarding a date for relaying the matting, it will be in March 2006.
6. WEBSITE: The £100 + £10 paid to Mark was for 2005. There is still £116 registration to be paid for 2006.
7. B & B DIRECTORY: Ongoing still in Ruth’s hands.
8. PUBLICITY AND RECRUITMENT DRIVE: Claire will talk to Tara re map. Advertising leaflets for the Donna Louis Trust, posters to be delivered. It was decided that the open forum would be in May to give more time to organise.
9. CALENDAR: So far 106 Calendars have been sold. Many thanks to Barry at Alton Post office for his hard work selling them and to Claire for organising. Claire feels this is not worth doing next year. It is not making enough money to warrant the work involved. The cost of the Calendars is too high. It was agreed not to go forward with this as a fund raiser.
10. GATEWAY UPKEEP: Ongoing,
11. ANY OTHER BUSINESS: Angie spoke to Mark Kerrigan at Alton Towers informally about CCTV cameras in the High Street Alton, and he could see no reason why they could not monitor them.
12. VILLAGE HALL: Members from Alton village Hall Committee visited Oulton Village Hall recently to look at the stage.
13. ANY OTHER BUSINESS: There was none.
