As Chairman of the SRB Alton Regeneration Group I am acting as a Project Manager for the Replacement of the Playground at the Village Hall. I am very happy to report that I have now been successful in obtaining full funding for this much needed project. Work is most likely to begin in early September. The plans will shortly be displayed at the Village Hall in the next 10 days. The main funding bodies are DEFRA and Staffordshire Environmental Fund and so I am very grateful for there backing of the scheme. I look forward to the completion of the project and most importantly see children enjoying themselves on the play equipment. ....... Alan Heath.
