3.MINUTES OF FEBRUARY MEETING: were read and agreed.
4.MATTERS ARISING:
GATEWAY project . April meeting will decide what plants to buy when Gill has spoken to Forrestry Commission for advice. Henry sent email to Mark Kerrigan about ways AT could support environmental work around the village. Henry stated he could ask Mark to help with this project. Maybe we could invite rep from AT to next meeting. Gill stated that area opposite mill very messy could AT do something about this?
BEST KEPT VILLAGE to consider entering for 2011.
EASTERN BYPASS – Barry Mycock had attended last Parish Council meeting, Where he had stated he would put eastern bypass on to the agenda of District and County Council meetings it had proved to be a no go as this would be unlikely to get a road built in future, mainly because Alton Towers had refused to fund it & the District council were not going to help. It was stated that crossings were not viable due to the narrow footpaths, however John said that this was a joke because crossings had been erected in all sorts of places in other villages which were just as difficult to approach.
VILLAGE DIRECTORY- John to produce a list of regular events and group meetings, businesses, b and b, ask local businesses for sponsorship. Do we need this if the village website includes all this information? However, it was felt by the meeting that many people did not have access to a computer.
We discussed possibility of collecting old photos of village to produce a photo album. We looked at example loaned by Henry. John to speak to Tony Heritage, Linda to speak to Eddie Bailey.
PUMP AREA – Linda had contacted Dave Scrivens about the pump area but had not received a reply.

Janet asked about possibility of building toilets in village. John informed us about the future plans to bring trains into village, maybe toilets could be located there. Henry Parker will be attending Warslow village hall on Thurs 18th march 7pm – 8pm for a rural forum organised by Staffs Moorlands CVS
