MINUTES OF MEETING
TUESDAY 19TH JANUARY 2010
1.PRESENT: John, Pat, Gill, Linda, Henry, Barbara
2.APOLOGIES: There were no apologies
3.MINUTES OF NOVEMBER MEETING: were read and agreed.
4.MATTERS ARISING: Leaflets advertising the group had been delivered.Linda to advertise group in the Parish Magazine.
GATEWAY project – shrubs to be planted in Spring on Denstone Rd. A discussion took place about the owner of the waste land on New Road. Henry to speak to Mark Kerrigan about ways AT could support environmental work around the village.
EASTERN BYPASS – John attended Parish Council meeting. Barry Mycock has not yet reported back concerning the issues raised at the public meeting, he will contact Liz James to arrange attending one of the future council meetings.
PENSIONER’S GROUP – Tuesday group have received a grant of £200 from ‘Give it Sum’ to support a trip to the Nuclear bunker on 16th May.
VILLAGE DIRECTORY- Neil thinks he could produce the directory. John to produce a draft copy including regular events and group meetings.
ROUNDHOUSE EVENT- Once again a very successful event, supported by approximately 300 people. We praised the singing from the Beavers and the carols led by Paul and Maggie Connor. John is to thank Josie and Jonathon Shepherd for organising the procession and food. The event made a profit of £175.57. We will need to invest in a new set of lights for the roundhouse next year.
5. TREASURER’S REPORT – John reported there was £2723.55 in the account. We haven’t received all the advertising money from the businesses.
6. A.O.B. –Arthur Forrester to be contacted concerning the pump area.
A discussion took place about the planters around the village. Gill stated she had a list of people who had maintained these over the past few years.
