MINUTES OF MEETING
Tuesday 10th November(date changed due to unavoidable circumstances)

1.PRESENT: John, Pat,  Gill, Linda, Henry, Janet Allen
2.APOLOGIES: Sally
3.MINUTES OF JULY AND SEPTEMBER MEETING: were read and agreed.
4.MATTERS ARISING: A warm welcome to Janet for attending our meeting.She said that the leaflet had been well made & the information was of great use, enough to make her want to attend anyway.
 Following on from the other deliveries in the village it was agreed to finish deliveries of our leaflets concerning the regeneration group and website to the following areas;
Malthouse , Headland Way, Angel Row, Smithy Bank, Hurstons  - JM
Denstone Rd. Nabb Lane, Saltersford Lane –LG
Uttoxeter Road –Pat/Gill
Linda to advertise group in the Parish Magazine.
GATEWAY project – shrubs to be planted in Spring on Denstone Rd. A discussion took place about the owner of the waste land on New Road. Henry to speak to Mark Kerrigan about ways Alton Towers could support environmental work around the village.
EASTERN BYPASS – John attended PC meeting,Barry Mycock has not yet reported back concerning the issues raised at the public meeting. All a bit pessimistic of any improvement in the road/traffic situation in the village.
Henry said that he would talk to both Barry Mycock & Mark Kerrigan about the future developments.
PENSIONER’S GROUP – Stella Heritage’s Tuesday group have applied for a grant of £500 from ‘Give it Sum’ to support a trip to the Nuclear bunker.

5.VILLAGE DIRECTORY- we discussed the production of a village directory to advertise all the various groups. We should discuss funding with Dave Scrivens. John will also get some feedback off Neil regards production.

6.ROUNDHOUSE EVENT- Maxine and the quilters have agreed to spruce up the figures,but not until next May/June time due to the short notice. Everyone appreciates their help in this much needed service.
John has got some new lights following some minor problems during last year’s event. Jonathon & Josie to prepare food.  Linda Goodwin to prepare mulled wine.  Josie is in charge of the procession. JM to talk to Nick about the Pugin Singers attending the event. Pat to ask WI to donate some mince pies. JM to speak to  Mary Fox about advertising the event on Radio Stoke. Henry to speak to Moorlands papers.

7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING- Tuesday 19TH January 2010
                7.45pm at the Royal Oak
